Prime Minister Albin Kurti, arguing with the energy agreement, which his party, Vetevendosje, once viewed as extending Serbia's influence in Kosovo, said that with implementation of this agreement a 20-year problem is being resolved.
“Four municipalities in northern Kosovo will pass into regular order of energy payments. The guide agreed yesterday in Brussels will enable this. With its implementation, the outcome of an inherited problem in the four northern municipalities will be possible. We inherited many things we did not want. We're doing our best to deal with what we inherited. After 20 years, we are stopping a financial bleeding”, he said.
These agreements are not good, as I said the 2013 deal was not good, as well as the 2015 deal. But, we inherited them, we found them there”, he says.
There's a lot of things I don't want to do, but out of need. Those deals were not good, but the situation on the ground was also good, he said. /Periscopi
