Kosovo wrestlers beat out in Mediterranean Games, hope at a second opportunity

Kosovo wrestlers Egzon Shala and Alban Sopa have suffered losses in the Mediterranean Games today.

Both went to the quarterfinals at “Oran 2022”, but stopped there.

Shala was defeated by Ercan Salim in the quarterfinals of the category of up to 125 kg.

Sopa, on the other hand, lost to Italy's Jakopio Masotti in the quarterfinal of the category of up to 150 pounds [74 kg].

Now, two Kosovo contestants will hope to get a second chance.

They can compete tomorrow only if their opponents qualify in the finals.

Parasely, two Kosovo karateists -- Fort Orana and Melos Gashi -- were eliminated today from the Mediterranean Games.
