News from the trial of Diego Maradona's death. Tigress Judge Orlando Diaz decided to sue eight people for the death of the former figure 10 of Argentina, located on November 25, 2020. Among them are neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov and psychologist Carlos Diaz.
They will be tried for the criminal offence of the simple murder on purpose. Judicial sources reported this for “La Nacion” Last April, the group of prosecutors responsible for the investigation -- composed of Laura Capra, Cosmo Iribarren and Patrizio Ferari, co-ordinated by San Isidros Attorney General John Broyad -- had presented the respective conclusions.
According to them, the eight accused of simple murder will submit to trial. “We are able to state that the people quoted today in this request have had criminal responsibility for Mr. Diego Armando Maradona's death, on the level of provisority this procedure phase requires”.
Judge Diaz rejected requests for a break in the case, submitted by Luque, Cosachov, Diaz, nurses Ricardo Almiron and Gisela Dahiana Madrid, Swiss medical co-ordination doctor Nancy Forlini, nurse co-ordinator Mariano Perroni and clinical doctor Pedro Di Spagna.
The investigative judge also rejected several proposals for the dismissal of the investigation, prepared by the defendants' defenders. The defendants, from their role, certainly had the physical opportunity to avoid the heart failure of Maradona, a circumstance that legislation demanded from them, arranged by the patient's health - protection card”, explained the magistrate in “La Nation”.
Diego Maradona died at the age of 60 in a rented house in San Andres County, Benavdez, in Tigre. He stayed there for only 15 days, arrived on November 11, 2020, after the operation was completed for a subdural head condition.
Among the 13 conclusions reached by this medical commission was argued: “The health team's action responsible for the treatment of Maradona was insufficient, inadequate and reckless. Diego began dying at least 12 hours before 12:30 on the 25,11. 2020.
So it has shown clear signs of an extended period of agony, so we conclude that the patient was not properly checked by 12:30 on the 25,20. Threatening signs of life presented by the patient have been ignored.
Nurse care while staying at the Tigre home, after leaving the clinic “Olivos”, is fraught with shortcomings and irregularities. The patient's health condition has been abandoned in its fate”
