Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of not recognising the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, while adding that <x0 against the recognition of genocide, would be the first agreement, in addition to the removal of the tax on the League of Nation, to be signed by the next DP government”.
“Edi Rama, if he had the minimum respect for Kosovo citizens, their suffering and sacrifice, their martyrdom in the last 150 years, should have gone to Kosovo this time, having known the Serbian cyclical genocide in Kosovo. There are 1400 innocent beings who were killed and burned only because they had Albanian parents in their homes.
In this respect, the denial he makes to the Serbian cyclical genocide in Kosovo starting in the second half of the 19th century and ends with operation “Patkoi” in 1999 is an act of very serious charge of national character and conscience.
To deny these is kind of kicking on their souls, their blood, but when they are Albanians, this is the highest form of national treason. So I may have many other problems to settle in relations between Albania and Kosovo today, but I chose only this, because the agreements, I followed the recommendations of Albanian government representatives, at a time when Albanians expect agreement, dual citizenship, or citizenship on will, this is the agreement that Albanians expect, but this, of course, along with the knowledge of genocide, will be the first agreement, in addition to the removal of the tax on the League of Nation, to be signed by the next DP-PD government”, Berisha told the press conference.
