The German government has summed up Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to the Western Balkan countries, while one of the chapters of this statement is also dedicated to the approach of Western Balkan countries face Russian aggression in Ukraine.
In this communiqué, the message Chancellor Scholz brought with him to the Western Balkans regarding the approach of Serbia and its president, Aleksandar Vuciq, also faced dialogue with Kosovo, is also being brought to the situation in Ukraine.
The communications cites Scholz's words in Belgrade that because of the terrible and meaningless war promoted by a imperialist vision of Russia “it is so important that the European Union and all remain in solidarity with Ukraine and help it defend against this” attack.
The communique also mentions the fact that Serbia has not imposed sanctions on Russia, saying Germany's expectations were that the sanctions would be backed by all who are candidates for EU membership.
And so far, the Western Balkan country has not supported sanctions against Russia -- unlike Kosovo” -- is said in communiqué.
The communiqué also quoted Scholz's words as saying that Kosovo has shown support for all sanctions and that Kosovo as a reliable partner is near and on the side of the European and international community.
