A stance defined from symbol slogans like: Say no Racism or we take care of football.
However, football has witnessed countless events that have coincided with racism against football players. According to a FIFA study in recent elite competitions, it proved that the highest abuse was to Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rasford and Bukayo Saka in the European final.
In Euro 2020, 76% of abuse was targeted towards coloured players, with the social Twitter network ruling for the high number of status states containing offensive and offensive messages.
Meanwhile, 38% of abusers were from England, which certainly did not hold back after Sancho, Rasford and Saca dedicated their first trophy since the distant year 1966 to the abuse of 11 meters.
Our task is to protect football. This starts from the players who bring us excitement and entertainment with the way they express themselves in the playing field. Unfortunately, there is a trend in climbing for the number of posts with the abusive context against players, trainers, match officials and teams. This is unacceptable! Like any other form of discrimination, this behavior has no place in football. With the Qatar World Cup 2022 on the horizon, we found it important to monitor every abuser's post on social networks, the same way that every move in the stadium is monitored. We want our works to have more impact than words, and for that reason we are taking concrete measures to shake the problem away from”, said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. / SS
