Barcelona makes first offer to Robert Leandowski

Barcelona has made its first bid for Bayern Munich for Robert Leandowski and is also seeking to transfer Yules Counde to reinforce defence, ESPN sources have said

Bayern wants more than 40m euros for the Polish attacker, who has indicated he wants to leave, but Barca's first offer is not believed to be so high.

LeWandowski (33) will expire contracts in 1923, but the German club's public position has not yet changed despite its being at the end of the contract.

“The situation has not changed”, Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said during the presentation of Sadio Mane on Wednesday, which joined the bavares for 42m euros.

“Robert has a contract with us for another year and we expect to see it on the first day in the pre-sezonal preparations in July”, Kahn said.

Sources say relations between Barça and Bayerni are exasperated following the conflict they had had over Suyer League of Europe's failure, in which Bayerni was not involved.

At a dinner before the meeting at the Champions League between the two teams last season, Kahn told Barcha's chiefs exactly what the German club had thought about their attempt to get out of the race.

Bayern has asked private and public questions about barca's possibility of moving players where they are currently a club in bankruptcy.

“Barcelona wants to sign with Leundowski when they owe 1.3 billion for six months”, former President Uli Howness had said recently.

Lewandowski, who is currently on vacation in Mallorca, has said several times that he wants to leave Bayerni after eight years, expressing his desire to join Barça.

The Catalonas club cannot currently register new players.

As things stand, because of the peak wage in La Liga, which is -144m euros, they have not yet signed with Andreas Christensen, nor with Franck Cassie, who went to this club after the contracts were expired.

However, Barca hopes they will arrive to finance several agreements and reach new players during the summer after they win from the sale of television rights.

Xavi has also communicated his decision to some players who are not on his plans, but the club has said the biggest concern is that no one wants to leave.

Neto, Riqui Puig, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite are some of the players Barca wants to share with them during this transitional term.
