Jevdet Peci is one of the legends of Kosovo boxing. He is known for his temperament as he beat the Serbian judge in 1985 at a mass in Podgorica.
The event took place in 1985, when the meeting of boxing under the former Yugoslavia's First Federation League took place between Podgorica and Pristina, the latter being champion in power.
The then boxer, Xhevdet Peci, was much better in the ring, but Zivkoviqi judged by directive. While Zivkoviqi made the decision, Albania's most successful coach, Lah Nimani (now deceased), had reacted to Zivkovic, why he was hurting Pristina, however, suddenly Peci had been thrown as <x0-> the striking” and stretched down the judge, leaving the entire hall in Podgorica silent. Fortunately, the club's security and leaders and Zivkoviqi had survived well.
Petz remembers that time. Then we were not likely to win, but we were politically damaged”, Peci said.
Pec died in the United States today.
