After defeating his Nazi idol in the quarterfinals on Friday, 19-year-old Alkaraz also beat Djokovic by the score of 6-7 (5), 7-5, 7-6 (5) after more than 3 and a half hours Saturday to reach the Madrid Open final.
A victory Sunday will give Alkaraz his fourth title this season, mostly from each player.
He defeated Nadal for the first time on Friday and triumphed against Djokovic in their first match.
Djokovic remains unnamed this season as he continues to try to regain his best form by going to protect the title at the French Open that starts after nine days.
