Citizens and institutions still await positive changes on the issue of visa liberalisation.

Although no date has been given by the Government or the European Union (BE), connoisseurs of political issues as real opportunities for visa liberalisation see the end of 2022.

While talking about the possibility of visa liberalisation and fear of migration, experts consider that the strongest states have faced the same.

University professor Africa Hoti has estimated that the visa liberalisation issue has already wear out, even though Kosovo has confirmed it has met the conditions in the past.

“I think that whatever we say now for visa liberalisation will be speculation because this process has already exceeded each limit and even the logic of a full cause of action because the issue of liberalisation has already been outdated by the fact that the fulfillment of the conditions not only confirm that we have completed it but that it has already confirmed the terms of how long and how long the European Commission and on that basis I think we have remained deeply hostage to political developments in the EU<1>.

I want to look at the process a little with optimism after the elections in France, maybe we could have positive moves so that in the most optimistic fact the end of 2022 they can enjoy a fundamental right they really deserve. The issue of neighbouring dialogue has not been a prerequisite for visa liberalisation even when we have been given tasks we must meet to gain that right. Given the fate that EU integration is a matter of practice then even its connection to the conclusion of the dialogue process would not surprise me”, Hoti said.

As for migration, Hoti says Kosovo cannot be disfellowshipped, as according to him, young people are leaving Kosovo large.
Among other things, he stressed that young people are finding different options even without visa liberalisation.

I see no exception either in the case of Kosovo, as I see no obstacle to the issue of liberalisation because young people are leaving Kosovo today, and that is truly unfortunate. The issue of maintaining isolation if someone thought it could prevent young people has even deeply erred in the view that Kosovars had visa liberalisation and their movement would be very controlled”.

We don't have it won. If the wave of people took such trends then normally the EU could take such measures. In the case of Albania, Serbia and Macedonia, such warnings have been given, but so far we have not seen a typical case and I don't believe it to happen in the case of Kosovo because the end without the liberalisation of young people are already moving with different visas and opportunities. The number of those who have fallen victim to visa liberalisation is small and that number would pose no problem for the EU”, Hoti said.

Meanwhile, the other connoisseur of political issues, Gazmir Racic, says visa liberalisation is strictly political, and that France considers it the main obstacle.
He says that after President Macron's re-election in France, he believes there will be positive moves in this respect.

The visa liberalisation issue is a very political topic, and that France is the main obstacle. After President Macro's re-election, I hope France will move positively, but of course, according to what is being observed is that the decision on liberalisation or not is firmly linked to the Brussels dialogue and results from that dialogue that might arise. If we are to make progress in the dialogue I expect positive moves in this year, but even if the positive decision on liberalisation is made takes another six months on technical issues to start implementing it and that June is now an option because of the summit held in June, and then it is September or October 2022”, Raci says.

As for migration, Racy says the same is a matter of excess. He says migration has also faced stronger states than Kosovo, reports EO.
The question of migration is past, because the legal migration can't be prevented, but of course other countries that were liberalized earlier have some problems behind this course, but they've managed and lessons learned from those states believe Kosovo is willing to keep up and of course people move and nobody can stop”.

“We've moved into war-time vessels where genocide even no one can stop us, but the main thing is that Kosovo needs to be removed visas because it is the only country in the Western Balkans that is isolated on the part of the European Union and there is no other reason that we have to continue to be isolated”, Ric tells EO.
