Milan today can be made with new owners.
By “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, RedBird Capital Partners can announce Milan's acquisition today after Gerry Cardinale is in Milan to complete the deal with Elliot.
The two sides are believed to have tightened hands for a 1.3 billion-euro deal that will see Milan's current owners, Elliot, sell the Serie A champions to RedBird Capital Partners, who, among other things, are shareholders of a minority stake in Liverpool, Kosova Prees follows.
Cardinal, director of the US fund, is already in Milan and must sign an agreement today, when official announcement is expected.
Cardinale was in Milan last week to celebrate Milan's Scuditto and returned yesterday to sign the documents and finish taking the club.
The new owners will be taking another two months to take full control of the club, but Cardinal is now operational and is expected to meet Paolo Maldin later this week to discuss the club's transfer plans in the summer pass term.
