Koci lawyer banned from police in Mexico, not allowed to cross border due to Kosovo passport

According to him, Mexico's border police could not find Kosovo on their list of states in their system.

He and his wife had to wait for hours until they were allowed to pass.

Through a Facebook status, Koci describes how he experienced his stay in the detention center.

Police Ban in Mexico

For about four hours at Mexico's airport, we tried the police ban because of Kosovo passports.

Blow me! Mexico's border police could not find Kosovo on the state list in their system.

So we were stopped, confiscated our phones, and initiated a second interview procedure, as they called it, in order to establish the legal basis for our extradition from Mexico.

After about an hour, a Mexican official told me that we will be deported because Mexico has no formal relations with Kosovo.

During that time, we were officially banned.

As a citizen of Kosovo, you are completely vulnerable legally in Mexico, and not alone.
