The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, has shown how ambition began to host a European final, such as the Conference League, by pointing to the candidacy process and the path that was pursued to go to UEFA's decision making. In an interview for “Klan News” the number one football government has spoken of measures taken, event security, how tickets, VIP figures that will be in Tirana to pursue Rome-Fynand, or even income that can be generated.
Also, President Duke has praised the volunteer process that is a new experience for our country, but interest has been very high.
The Albanian Football Federation has published the entire Armand Duka interview.
The ambition to host the European final, we have had the ambition to have an important final or competition in Tirana with the completion of the project. We've started applications since we were in the construction phase of the facility, we applied for the Supercup final, we've prepared all the necessary documentation, but since we were in the construction phase, we haven't won the tender for the Supercup of Europe. Later we applied again when the new competition U was announced. EFA Conference League, given that it was a more real race, because Superkupa could be considered more hororic, so we had the greatest objective of getting the Conference League and applied. The Albanian Football Federation administration has completed all documentation with all other Albanian institutions in co-operation. We filled in the volume files correctly, we participated in a tender and we qualified as a site and stadium that could organise such a finale and then the Executive Committee of U n The EFA has decided that the winner for the historic Conference League final is Albania 2022.
The stadium's chapters for European finals let's consider our destiny, which in the first edition did not have the criteria for greater capacity, but we were within criteria with such a capacity stadium. It would be impossible if the criteria were for a bigger stadium. We've met the terms and it's set. And the Superkupa final has not had the criterion for greater audience capacity. Already seeing the great interest this final has, seeing the audience's great demand to follow the final in the future, I think criteria can change and make it impossible for us.
With all these measures, with the Albanian tradition of hospitality, with FSHF in place, with the enforcement of UEFA, State Police, airport administration and the Albanian government, I believe everything will be fine.
Orders and delivery of tickets The Way or Practices by which tickets are sold is the same as all the other matches U organises EFA around the world. The same procedure that is followed in European championships, in Champions League and in Conference League. Of course, part of the stadium's tickets is given to the participating finalist clubs for their fans, part of sponsors, partners and television broadcasters, and another part goes out equally for everyone. No matter how much the stadium's capacity, all demands are never met, but whoever applies first receives the ticket. So there is a very transparent practice previously announced and the same has been followed in our case. Seeing the data of those who have gained the right to buy tickets, Albanians have been among the most skilled of those who have been in front of computers to book a ticket and will receive a considerable number of what have been for sale to the general public. Even those who booked a ticket many days ago took it electronicly just three days ago and it can only be transferred twice and then become worthless. So all measures have been taken to minimize ticket sales in an abusive way. However, there are always abuses that can happen, but I believe they are many times more minimalistic than those that can be commented on or those that want to make scopes.
Dutch fans' disappointments. I heard that too. In fact, fans of both clubs have applied for much more. From the information we have from the Rome Club, there were 75 thousand tickets, at a time that has received about 4 grand of those available. With that number of tickets Rome has received, tickets that she has given fans who have annual subscriptions, but not all because there is much more. The same amount of tickets Feyenord received, so there is nothing uneven or transparent in the delivery of tickets. There has been much more demand, not only from fans of Rome and Fenord, but from all over Albania or other European countries. Since Italy is closer, there are undoubtedly more demands from neighbours.
The public figures that will be present at the finals are guests of personalities, the director of the country. Are part of U protocol EFA, both in any country and Albania, the prime minister, the president, Tirana Mayor and several other institutions. No doubt, even some local sports figures, FSHF directors, or Albanian clubs are invited. The entire stadium stands as a VIP and has not been for sale, but it's protocol and invitations. While in the front stand, the entire football community is equipped with tickets, all FSHF members, former national team football players -- that is, planned to be equipped with one ticket and attend this final in Tirana. There will be a lot of participation in the stadium stand, the president of the stadium. UEFA, Alexander Ceferin, several members of the U Executive Committee EFA, several Federation Presidents of Ministers, like president of the Italian Federation, president of the Dutch Federation and several other federations. And in the world of football played, I might mention some names like: Dejan Savicevic from Montenegro or Poland's Rubenek, Francesco Totti of Rome, Antonio Cte, Luis Figo and several others.
The figure that Albania wins from this final I've heard that the figure that Albania can benefit for this match is 140m euros, and I found it a little high. I estimate on the phone quickly and there will be 30,000 people coming and if there will be a hotel price of 1,000 euros, the profit is 30m euros. So the figure really is 140m euros, a very high figure for Albania that is a direct benefit. But it is not only this benefit that brings the organisation of this finale in Tirana. The benefits are very multiplanetary, there is also the image of Albania, as we have seen that more than the football world throughout this period has been central to Albania, Tirana. Many have even been skeptical about how Tirana can organise such an event and even criticise U. EFA how it can decide for a final in Tirana. But he decided and we could organize it, and I really want to thank those who believed in us because we meet the criteria. They weren't biased with us, president of UEFA, Executive Committee UEFA and at the same time I want to guarantee, those who trust us and those who are skeptical that this will be a historic final even though it's played for the first time, but also because there will be perfect organization.
My security measures and volunteers my conviction that this final will go well is based. It's not just propaganda. It is based on the daily work that I see, on the commitment that all Albanian institutions have, since Albania's prime minister, who is directly engaged in organising the final and is directly willing to respond to any calls or messages that help the final body, seeing the State Police engagement, which has started preparations three months ago with training he has made with European and U experts. EFA and their experience. Another argument is the tradition of Albanians for hospitality. We're never bad at friends, so that makes me believe everything's gonna be fine. It's true that this is a football match and it produces emotions, among cheerleaders there may be fans and hooligans, but with the measures taken, deciding to distance groups of Italian and Dutch fans, even the mix area, I have the conviction that everything will be fine.
I've been surprised by the number of volunteers because in all organizations we weren't used to having volunteers in the process before, but surprised by the number of applicants to volunteer in hosting the match from all over Europe and Albania. There were more than a thousand applications from which we've selected 400 that will be part of the game organism.
Co-operation with Tirana City Hall I have personally had no contact with Tirana Mayor, but the staff of the Federation of Football and the municipal administration co-operate to organise as well as to be a perfect event. It is part of the criteria, where Tirana City Hall has been involved since preparing the file and is part of the final organisation. She's ready at any moment to make her own contribution and fully mobilised to be a worthy finale. Everyone realizes this fight doesn't have a last name, Duke or Veliaj. The match has a name “Albania“and before Albanian interest, we all need to be fully focused to do our best for Albanian football and, of course, the Federation and City Hall. After all, we are organisational partners of U. EFA, and in a negative case, the UEFA EC, has entrusted this activity to the Football Federation and if it doesn't go well, it will not only draw our ears away or create a negative opinion ahead of those who trusted us or opinion, but we will reduce our chances of having other important activities in Albania because that is the peak of activities developed in us. We'll still pretend in the future to have more activities. We have to get a maximum note before UEFA.
The League Champion final in Albania? We can't wait for him right now because we don't have a stadium with such capacities that have CHL criteria today. Only if Albania wants to build a stadium with such capacities can it be accepted. But the competition that we can expect is this final, any final of the youth supercup or final, for the age of U-19 and U-21, given the stadiums we now have in Tirana, Elbasan, Shkodra and Kukes.
Who am I a fan with at this fight? I have very good relations with both federations and clubs, but I can't hide from Rome being closer to Italy and having one more motive. In the Gulf of Rome we have an Albanian footballer, Maras Cumbula, for whom I long to see him in the field on the final day and succeed and grow even more for himself and for Albania.
How do I feel about this final? I think all of the biggest critics, a few years ago, have not dreamed that Albania can organise a final, or that Albania can play in a European competition like France 2016, or that Albania would be first in the group in Nations League or third place in the group in the World Eliminators. This was the peak from a organizational point of view and I believe that even those who haven't dreamed of it, the biggest critics will enjoy the finale brought by the U. EFA or FSHF.
