Former training partners and old friends were reportedly involved in a one-night clash in Miami, which resulted in police calling to the scene, Periscope follows.
According to reports made with authorities at the time, Covington suffered a broken tooth and was damaged by the clock, not long after their UFC 272 match.
But the updated charges now say that Covington claims he has suffered a “brain damage” as a result of the incident.
At the time, Masvidal was arrested by Miami Police in Beach, but sent a $5,000 guarantee and was later released.
