After yesterday's announcement of four attacks in three days, the fifth was marked this morning. Kosovo police have announced that there have been two explosions in the early hours of the morning at Sharpey in Jarinje, near the police car, which was at a static point where police were focused on preventing smuggling in the area. The allegations are that the pyrotechnics have been dumped from Serbia's territory. There are no injuries or material damage from these explosions.
At an extraordinary news conference yesterday, Interior Minister Jalal Svechla and Kosovo Police Director Samedin Mehmeti announced four attacks on police for three days. Against police is fired at AK-47, grenades and other methods to prevent it from fulfilling the task. In one of the attacks, Mehmet has said it is suspected that the shooting has come from Serbia's territory.
The attack on the Kosovo Police has also condemned the European Union Office in Kosovo and the American Embassy. While Kosovo institutional leaders have described the attack on Kosovo police as <x0terrorist” and blamed Serbia and criminal structures.
