The former Atletico Madrid player was arrested on January 26th during a regular police routine, when a gun was found in a jacket in his lap.
Later, police had reported that Schippacasse had told the investigator that he was bringing the gun to a South African team fan Penarol, ahead of the derby against his staunch rival, Nacional.
After this case, Schippacasse made an agreement with the police, where it was decided that the 23-year-old would be allowed to spend six months of the pronounced sentence with his family before being released on bail and conditioned that he would perform four hours a week's services to the community and appear and sign every day at the police station.
