The news has been published by prominent Russian businessman Ieonida Nevzlin, known as Putin's enemy, who said Sergei Shoug is in intensive care, in heavy health condition.
Nevzlin questioned that the heart attack did not result from natural causes. He further claimed that 20 defence ministry generals were arrested in a case “corruption” growing 7.6 billion pounds, where 150 Federal Security Service officers (FSB) were arrested.
The former exiled co-owner of the oil giant Yukos attributed the extraordinary claims to his undeserved sources in Moscow.
Nevzlin claimed on Facebook: Shoig is out of the struggle, he can become disabled if he survives. He suddenly had a massive heart attack. He's in intensive therapy, connected with equipment.
Word has it that heart attack cannot have occurred because of natural causes.
There were earlier rumors of Shoig's heart problems, and also claims he was out of sight because Putin ordered him to operate from a remote nuclear bunker in Urals.
There have also been reports that Putin has put him in constant targets of occupation, as the Kremlin forces suffered great losses.
Shoigu was seen on 13 April in a video conference with Putin and other ministers for Arctic development.
He wore a suit and took notes, clearly writing Putin's instructions. He was not heard speaking, and this, according to the media, raises more doubts that he may be serious on health.
