Hoxha was suspended after the same public criticism of MPs' spending, voicing his dissatisfaction with the lack of grace for police.

The suspension announcement was made by Amir Hoxha himself. Although the same person initially claimed that the suspension was in three days, he did not return to work.

Hoxha had said the suspension came on the pretext that he had committed criminal or serious disciplinary offences.
