Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that Albania would legalise the cultivation and export of cannabis for medical purposes, after taking the citizens' opinion on the National Council survey.
According to Rama, this is a citizens' decision that will be implemented and that will open a new employment front.
We will legalise cannabis for medical purposes and open a new working front and economic growth. What citizens have said will be done, there is no discussion of it”, Rama said.
More than 308 thousand people out of 560 thousand who have participated in the National Council survey have responded positively to the question of whether Albania should allow the cultivation, processing and export of cannabis for medical purposes.
The question has been negatively answered by 148 thousand participants in the poll, while another 51 thousand have not had an opinion of it.
It should be emphasized, however, that in question the legalisation of the cannabis for personal use is not predicted. /A2Conn
