Thousands of visa applications are submitted every month to the German Embassy in Pristina. Many Kosovars aim at this diplomatic mission to obtain a visa providing them a job in the German state.

This embassy issues 500 to 800 working visas every month, and some 50,000 Kosovars apply.

These terms will be offered until the maximum number allowed for one year is reached.

From the embassy, they have declared for Express that this year, no more than 5 thousand and 500 Kosovo applicants will be able to obtain a visa to start employment there.

The embassy can actually provide about 500 to 800 applications per month until the maximum number of 5,500 visas are reached per year for Kosovo applicants. It means in 2022 a total of no more than 5,500 applicants from Kosovo could obtain a visa for starting employment according to Western Balkan Adjust”, the German Embassy said.

According to the German Embassy in Pristina, most of the new censuses for the term refer to the same people.

The “Shifrat, which is being circulated in Kosovo media about the visa applications set forth at the embassy, are confusing. In each month, from December onward, some 45,000 persons have registered from December onwards. Registers for the term, which have not been successful, after the short selection must be deleted. Anyone who wants to participate in the cast procedure for next month must re-register. It thus ensures that the requirements for the term are further current. It may be calculated that those who have not succeeded in the cast procedure will be enrolled again in the coming months. So in most of the new records, it's about the same people who were registered in the previous few months. So just collecting registration figures for all months leads to wrong results, either disorienting”, reportedly in response to the German Embassy for Journal Express.

This embassy reports that in March 2022, 48 thousand and 44 job visa applications have been accepted.

Because of the enormous demand for visa terms aimed at starting employment according to the Western Balkans regulator, which clearly exceeds the terms that are available and ensure equal opportunities during the application for a term, since December 2021 these terms are given in Western Balkan states every month through a lot procedure.

For the March 2022 lots procedure, the embassy has accepted 48.044 requests for the terms available for visa applications. Of all the records, from the random computer-run generator to a lot procedure have been selected for those who receive a term for application in the coming month. Amabsada offers about 500 to 800 terms per month for this category, until the maximum number of visas of 5,500 per year is reached. It may be estimated that those who fail to reserve a term prove again in the following months”, the embassy's response reported.

Otherwise, President Osmani in an interview two days ago said that although the number of 50,000 visa applicants is worrying, their number does not increase every month.

We've been cleared by the respective embassies that 23,000 apps are treated, but then there's the same 50 thousand that apply again, so there's a large number of people who are the same but who re-appreciate until they're next and until they're treated with the app because there's no embassy capacity to handle 50 thousand. If of 53-54 thousand, 3-4 thousand are now treated after 2-3 months or so, we have been officially informed by the respective embassies. So we're pretty much talking about this number, like, 50,000. But of course even in this measure it's worrying, so for us priority should be the lives of citizens so that especially new generations can find the perspective here”, she said in Atv.
