The KOK has called on responsible bodies to take appropriate measures and perpetrators of this act to receive deserved condemnation.
At the time when athletes and sports are the best image of our state, such ugly images are at least needed by our sport and our country”, it is said among other things in the OK response.
Full response:
“KOK condemns violence shown at Gjilan Stadium
Kosovo's Olympic Committee (KOK) has witnessed the violence shown today in the football match between SC Gjilani and FC Balkans.
The KOK strongly condemns Gnjilane fans' attack on Balkan goalkeeper Steve Frasher, who wants quick recovery.
We seek from the responsible bodies, but also from the Council for Prevention of Violence and Negative Fans in Sports to take appropriate measures and perpetrators of this act to receive due punishment.
At the time sportsmen and sports are the best images of our country, such ugly images at least need sports and our country”.
