The International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) said it had opened disciplinary procedures against Kuliac for its shocking “bringing “to the World Cup in Doha, Periscopi forwards.
After winning the bronze medal, Kuliac wears a T-shirt with the letter ÉZ in his chest and climbed to the podium near gold medal winner Illia Kovtun from Ukraine.

The Z letter has become symbolic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and is seen painted on the side of tanks and military vehicles, and is worn by pro-war politicians in Russia.

This weekend was the last opportunity for Russian gymnasts and Belarusers to compete after their countries were sanctioned by FIG as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
From Monday, athletes, officials and Russian judges and Belarus will not be allowed to participate in FIG competitions or FIG-sanctioned races.
