Prosecutors have been urging a Russian court to announce the Metha's platform of Facebook as an extremist organisation has reported news agency Internationalfax.
The decision came after reports that the Meta's platform will enable the users of '%Facebook' and "Instagram" in some countries to call for violence against Russia and Russian soldiers in the context of the invasion of Ukraine, according to internal emails confirmed by Reuters.
The social networking company is also temporarily allowing several posts calling for the death of Vladimir Putin and his Belarusn counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, according to these emails.
