Eight days after being admitted, doctors discovered a urinary infection that lasted his stay in the hospital.
However, doctors now say Pele is now in “stable clinical state”.
We remember that Pele underwent prostate surgery in 2015 after being admitted to the hospital for the second time in six months and returned for a urinary infection in 2019.
He also returned to December for treatment of the tumor, but was released shortly before Christmas.
The best scorer of all 77 goals in 92 matches, the former striker is one of only four players he has scored in the four World Cup tournaments.
