The negotiating process is very difficult”, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
Ukrainian delegation has a strong attitude and does not give up its demands. We insist, first of all, on a ceasefire, security guarantees and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, he added.
He also said that “has no consensus” on key issues with Russia, which has begun the unprotested invasion of Ukraine on 24 February.
“in particular, Ukrainian is and will be the only official language in Ukraine”, he said.
These statements were made after Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan said Friday that Kiev and Moscow appear to have reached agreement on four negotiating points, including the language issue.
While Kuleba said this is not true, he added that Ukraine is grateful to Turkey “for its political and humanitarian assistance, but also diplomatic efforts aimed at ending Russia's war in Ukraine”.
Ukraine and Russia have so far maintained a series of negotiating rounds, but have not yet achieved any concrete results for ending the war.
