Although slightly developed for reasons of culture as Balkan country, in Kosovo maybe not, but there are Kosovo players who play this very peaceful sport, writes Periscopi.
One of the many people from Kosovo who practice this sport is Azer Bislimaj that Periscope has contacted the Kosovo champion in Germany.
Bislimaj showed us how he started dealing with this sport that is not much in Albanian tradition, even though he says the idea of golf started in Kosovo by playing popular games that were similar to golf sport.
I live for 35 years in Germany, and with families we have a family restaurant, where people besides food can have fun playing golf. I started Golfin early, I was 17 years old, and from that time on I came to Germany. I in Kosovo played various popular games that were somewhat related to the golf game. So, I've been playing for 10 years golfing”, the Kosovo athlete said initially.
He went on to show the rules of this noble sport.
“The golf sport looks heavier than any other sport, because there are many rules. The rules are, for example, when the ball falls into the water, where the game has to be put back and so many other things. I can say it's a very complicated sport, because it's not about force, but rather it's mental sport”, he went on.

Bislimaj has shown his most interesting and important moment in his career.
The most emotional moment was last year when I became the champion of Kosovo in Germany”
But our athlete, not to mention his embarrassing moments in practicing the golf game, he said he was too close to being proclaimed the champion of a republic in Germany but trembling at the embarrassment and lost that race.
I've been racing for Republican champions here in Germany, I've been under a lot of stress in the last hole, because the field has 18 holes I started shaking hands, because it was a great responsibility for me to be champion of a 3 million-nation republic and over 500 thousand people there playing golf and becoming champion as an 18-year-old, it was a big deal and I lost my emotions. At golf you have to be calm, and you have to be completely concentrated”, he said.
Bislimaj also talked about golf injuries, where he said the only injury a golfer could suffer is the problem with his back.

“Letting be on our backs and another injury there is, our opponent in us is wind, rain and water”, Bislimaj indicated.
At the same time, he promised Kosovo something big, where he said he would come back to promote even more golf sport to us.
I think golf sport may be a popular day for Albanians, but this sport comes from us living outside. My dream is to come to Kosovo within six years and start playing there and promote golf sport at my place”, Bislimaj said.
We remember that the Kosovo Federation of Golf was officially founded on October 17th 2018 with the extraordinary help of the Albanian Diaspore from Europe./Periscopi/
