Through a twitter announcement of the Italian Embassy, it is said that these meetings discussed the security and measures that must be taken in order to avoid incidents prior to Serbia's elections.
“U discussed the security situation in #Kosovo, bilateral programmes and measures taken to avoid pre-election incidents in #Serbia. He reiterated the call to refrain from any action and rhetoric that could increase tension”, the announcement said.
We remember that the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, had rejected the QUINT countries' proposal for holding Serbian elections in Kosovo, and this led to dissatisfaction and harsh reactions.
