Who is expected to take over the DP until new chairman is elected

Article 46:

1. The party's chairman heads the party's central bodies and ensures the implementation of their decisions. It represents the party in all public and political, domestic and international activities.

2. The party chairman is elected by vote of all DPA members, according to principle “A member, a vote of”. The regulations of the process are defined in substate acts.

3. The party chairman is assisted by vice-chairmen and secretary-general. The party's chairman, depending on problems or specific issues, could establish auxiliary structures or appoint co-ordinators or delegates, who deal with their review and settlement, or running the process in charge.

4. The party chairman during his daily activities assigns duties and specific areas of responsibility to party vice-presidents. In the protracted absence of the mayor and with his permission, one of them replaces the chairman. In the absence of this authorisation, including cases of resignation from the mayor's office, the secretary general assembles the National Council, which commands the deputy chairman who will lead the party until the return of the incumbent or the election of the new chairman.

5. The party's chairman, in fulfillment of his functions and ensuring the party's performance, issues orders and instructions, on the basis and for the implementation of this statute, as well as decisions of the party's governing bodies.
