Abramovich brings the luxury yacht to Kosovo's neighbour, as he fears possible seizure

Roman Abramovich's 430 million-year-long rule was docked in Montenegro this morning, while the oligarch appears to be seeking to protect his assets from possible sequencing after imposing sanctions on him. The luxury yacht is said to have arrived at the port of Tivat just before 8: 00 p.m. in Britain and [...]

The luxury yacht reportedly arrived at the port of Tivat shortly before 0800 on time in Great Britain, after hastily leaving Barcelona on Tuesday, two days before Abramovich was sanctioned by the British government, the Express broadcasts.

According to “Daily Mail”, the Russian billionaire is believed to want to move his yacht out of the waters of Western Europe due to the risk of being sanctioned by the European Union for its ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Yahweh “Solaris” was reportedly quickly removed from a Spanish shipyard before repairs were completed. Also reportedly the staff was told to destroy the docks so that the yacht could leave quickly.

Montenegro is not in the EU, although it is expected to join in 2025, so it can be seen as a safer haven by Abramovich, who on the other hand is trying to sell the Chelsea club.

Last week it was announced that Montenegro had signed EU sanctions against Russia, but in practice it has only included a decision banning Russian flights.

The port where it was going “Solaris” was unknown until about 4:20 this morning, when his destination of Tivat became suddenly visible on ship tracking applications. It is believed that the destination was introduced into its tracking system by Solaris' crew only in the first few hours.

Ship tracking sites such as the “Merine Traffic” had previously shown the yacht going around Sicily and on the Ionian Sea, with its final uncertain destination.

Abramovich's second superyahit “Eclipse”, which is even larger at 533m and is said to be worth more than 750 million pounds, may also be headed for Tivat.

“Ex” usually spends most of the winter in the Caribbean, where Abramovich has a home. But even this yacht has been in international waters since leaving St. Maarten on February 21.

The satellite trace this morning defined it as the entrance to the Straits of Gibraltar, and possibly along the way to the Mediterranean after sailing on the west coast of Africa.

Superates owned by other oligarchs are said to have been distributed to countries, including Maldivet, Seychelles and Turkey, to prevent their selection. /Gazza Express/
