Volvo Rewards the Faithful Driver

Volvo Rewards the Faithful Driver

For 30 years, the English driver has made six million miles [1.6 million km] of Volvo. And Volvo now rewarded his loyalty.

Jim O'Shea is one of those drivers who doesn't closely convey the trends and trinities of the manufacturer, so he doesn't change the cars after a few years but keeps the same for decades. Recently, he celebrated his 30th anniversary since he had purchased a 740th model in a Volvo car. Perhaps in spite of his father and uncle, who were then working in a Ford salon, he had bought a Volvo and vowed that he would carry him six million miles [1.6 million km].

30 years later, in November last year, he fulfilled his promise. And now he was called from Volvo to visit a nearby convoy, where they gave him the keys to the new Volvo S60. Interestingly, the keys were given to Volvo's Fialal Director Stephen Lynch, who had sold his model 740 in 1991.

We're excited we can take care of Jim, and give him a new car. He deserves this and we're way too much at the”, Stephen said after giving him the keys.

But there's a whore here. Jim's prestigious black limo has not taken over permanent ownership, but has been given for two years, with insurance and paid maintenance. That's a nice gesture, though.
