In addition to equipmenting addresses in Medvedja, Presevo and Bujanoc, Albanians are also facing discrimination in terms of the use of road labels and institutions in Albanian.
Although the Constitution of Serbia is guaranteed the right to use minority languages in ballonias and the appointment of institutions, this is not being respected in the Medvedja municipality, even having been removed and appointed to Albanian.
Flora Ferati-Sachsenmeier, a research associate at Serbia's Max Plank Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, through a Twitter post, has published several photos, showing that Serbia's <x0-party continues to remove bilingual signs in the Medvedja municipality.
“Sic shows the following images, the Albanian language is systematically removing from all information signs (health care objectives, street names, tourist information)”, wrote Ferati-Sahsenmaier.
