Russia's barrels around Ukraine: Top 8 events of the day up to these moments

1. Putin: We want dialogue, but our interests are non-negotiable Vladimir Putin today said Russia is interested in diplomatic solutions but added that Russian interests are non-negotiable. Vladimir Putin declared today that Russia is interested in diplomatic solutions but added that Russian interests are non-negotiable.

Our country is open to direct and frank dialogue, trying to find diplomatic solutions about very complex problems Putin said, where he added that Russian interests and what to do with the safety of Russian citizens are non-negotiable.

We will continue to advance the weapons system, including hypersonic ones and those based on the newest physical principles”, Putin said.

2. British Defence Secretary: Putin's completely insane.

British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said Vladimir Putin is becoming totally insane in relation to Ukraine.

Wallace said the Russian president has no allies in his shares and compared him to Can Nicole the First during the war in Crime.

We're going to have a busy army, unfortunately we're dealing with Putin, who's completely mad at”, Wallace said.

3. Ukraine approves the law quickly: Allows people to arm themselves

The Ukrainian Parliament, on first reading, has voted for approval of a draft law granting its citizens the right to carry arms and use them for self-protection, writes The Guardian, Pryscopy.

Law designers said ʹFuking this law is entirely in the interest of state and society”, adding, “the law was necessary due to the risk and threats against Ukrainian citizens”.

4. Ukraine calls to millions of its citizens in Russia: Get out of there now!

Ukraine has called on its citizens not to visit Moscow and has warned Ukrainians who are there to leave Russia immediately, the BBC writes.

The Foreign Ministry recommends its Ukrainian citizens stop any trip to Russia, and those already there, to leave its territory immediately”, a statement of this ministry said.

She says that the intensifying of Russian aggression against Ukraine means that she will not be able to offer consulting assistance to Ukrainians who occurred in Russia.

5. Ukraine towards state of emergency: Except for Donnetsk and Luhansk regions

Top Ukrainian security officials have indicated that a state of emergency will be declared throughout Ukraine's entire territory, except for the two regions, writes Sky Nesa, followed Periscope.

Exceptions make Donetsk and Luhanks, east of Ukraine, which are partly controlled by pro-Russian separatists.

It seems Ukraine is preparing for a possible invasion by Russia, which earlier announced it would allow for approval of a move that would enable its citizens to carry firearms.

6. Ukraine's Culeba again calls to the West: More shots on Putin, harder now.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dimitro Kuleba, has called on Western states to step up their sanctions against Russia.

In his account on Teteter, he writes:

In order to stop Putin from further aggression, we call on our partners to impose more sanctions on Russia now. The first disinclined steps were taken yesterday, and we are grateful to them. Now the pressure must be increased to stop Putin. Hit the economy and his friends. Hit him harder. Hit him now!

7. Sanctions against Russia-China vs, Japan pro and places them

China has criticised the West for imposing its sanctions on Russia and has said it will not do so, calling the measures once a key and effective for resolving problems, adding that it always opposes any illegal sanctions and unilable ones, writes CNN,

Unlike China, Japan said on Wednesday it would impose sanctions on Russia and its individuals related to the regions controlled by pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine, after Moscow ordered troops to be introduced into rebel republics.

Japan strongly condemns Russia's actions “that interfere with Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which violates international law”, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said.

The decision is the same as measures taken by the United States, Great Britain and the European Union.

8. Erdogan: I'm becoming a mediator, not a choice between Russia and Ukraine.

Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan, said Turkey cannot back down from relations with Russia and Ukraine, while criticising Western diplomatic efforts towards Moscow, as he said they have achieved little success.

Speaking to reporters on his return from his visit to Africa, Erdogan reiterated his willingness to mediate between Russia and Ukraine and said Turkey as a NATO member country, which has good reports with the two countries, would take steps that would not harm its bilateral reports, writes anews, Perskopi notes.

It's impossible for us to choose between them. Our goal of us taking such a step so that, God willing, we can solve the problem without damaging the other side” is quoted as saying by the Turkish president.

He called for Ukraine and Russia to continue talks and said NATO should determine its position after Wednesday's summit.

Russia's recognition of the two regions as independent countries in eastern Ukraine has sparked sharp reactions in the West and sanctions against Russia. Turkey, which borders the Black Sea with Ukraine and Russia, has basically voiced against sanctions, but Moscow's recent decision has called it unacceptable. /Periscope
