Police officers in Las Vegas, where the accuser Kathryn Mayorga claimed that Man Utd's star had raped him in a hotel room, even signed a warrant for Ronaldo's arrest.
But District Attorney Clark, Steve Wolfson, stopped the detectives and refused to prosecute the case.
In a court transcript discovered by The Sun, Mayorga's lawyer, Leslie Mark Stovell, found out: “What happened is when he [the arrest] surrendered to the district prosecutor's office, Mr. Wolfson refused to prosecute. He doesn't say why he decided to refuse and nothing any argument is just speculation. It was within the pre-scription deadline. Police believed there was an issue to prosecute for an accusation of sexual assault, and the DA decided not to. ”
Stovall applied to the US District Court in Las Vegas on 21 September last year, but the transcript has only now been published. DA Wolfson is the chief prosecutor in Las Vegas.
In July 2019 after investigating the police investigation, Wolfson said there was not enough evidence to prove the charges against Ronaldo and no charges were filed.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been sharply denying the rape of Mayorga at the Palms Hotel and Casino on June 12th 2009.
Ronaldo tou paid Mayorgas a total of 276,000 pounds, but now she's demanding a 56 million-pound compensation.
Despite the police investigation being fired, the civil issue is still under way.
Ronaldo's legal team has always claimed police investigated the alleged rape twice in 2009 and 2018 and found there was no chance to respond.
And the star itself denies the accusations and claims to have key relations on both sides.
