Latvia's Parliament voted unanimously to allow its citizens to fight in Ukraine, if they wish.
Our “citizens who want to support Ukraine and serve voluntarily there to protect Ukraine's independence and our common security should be able to do so”, said Juris Rancanis, chairman of the Parliamentary Defence Commission, Internal Affairs and Prevention of Corruption, who drafted the law.
Latvia, which borders Russia and its ally, Belarus, has already helped Ukraine with weapons, including Stinger missiles.
