West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has left sponsor Adidas from the list after a video showed up on Tuesday and the Frenchman kicked his cat.
Zouma is under great pressure after this video that has appeared on social networks, with RSPCA confirming that the cat has fled its home.
Despite starting in Tuesday's match against Watford, the Zoo has been fined by West Ham, while the Esex police have confirmed it is investigating, with more than 150,000 people making a petition for Zouma to be punished.
Adidas takes Zooman away from sponsorship
In addition to West Ham's fine, Zouma has also left the sponsor Adidas, who announced on Wednesday that the company will no longer work with the defender.
“We have completed our investigation”, the company said in a statement confirming that Kurt Zouma is no longer a student with contracts in Addas.
West Ham initially condemned the incident before issued another February 9th statement to confirm that the player will be fined a very large “” for his behaviour.
What did Zouma say?
Shortly after the video was launched, Zouma issued a statement apologizing for what had happened. I want to apologize for my actions. There's no excuse for my behavior, for which I have regretted so much”, he stressed.
I also want to say that I was deeply sorry for all those who were worried about that video. I want to assure everyone that my two cats are in good health”.
“They're girlfriends and happy in our family and this behavior is an isolated incident that won't happen again”
