Germans have smart lights

The smartest German relief plant is located in Lemg, North Rhein-Westpholia, where it will start controlling traffic. As promised by scientists at the Fraunhofer Optimics and Systems Technology, the light must increase security, avoid red lights and make air cleaner.
The great loss of current traffic lights is their basis in rules, scientists stress, because rigid rules do not apply to all situations in traffic. It often has a red light for no reason, which slows down traffic.
The new signal is much smarter; high-resolution cameras and radar sensors measure traffic much more precisely than the actual pipeline rings placed on asphalt. For example, the light not only records how many cars are currently waiting at a crossroads but also on which lanes they are on. It is also measured that time is ready and medium speed. According to scientists, this real-time sensor technology, combined with artificial intelligence, replaces current registra rules.
The score sign could cut traffic jams and waiting time, reduce noise, fuel consumption of vehicles, and environmental pollution. Semaphs can improve traffic flows by 1015 per cent. An intelligent light should also be useful to pedestrians because it adapts the green phase to crossing time so that, for example, the elderly or disabled may cross the road safely. The number of dangerous offenses, such as access to red lights, can be reduced to a quarter, waiting time in traffic peaks for one third, etc.
