FIFA Disciplinary Committee has made its decisions about the Brazil match Argentina in qualifications for the Qatar 2022 World Cup on September 5, 2021.
Following a thorough investigation of various actual elements, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided that the match will be replayed on a date and at a place that will be decided by FIFA.
Moreover, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has concluded that failure to develop the match stems from certain shortcomings of parties involved in responsibility and/or their respective obligations regarding the first. As such, the FIFA Discipline Committee has also decided:
1. to order the Brazilian Football Federation to pay a fine of 477 thousand euros over violations related to order and security;
2. to order the Argentina Football Federation to pay a fine of 191 thousand euros in terms of failing to meet its obligations in terms of order and security, preparation and participation in the match;
3. order the Brazil Football Federation and the Argentina Football Federation to pay a fine of 47 thousand euros as a result of abandoning the match;
4. suspending from two (2) silver players Emilian Bundía, Emiliano Martínez, Giovanni Lo Celso and Cristian Romero for disrespecting the FIFA International Fight Protocol.
FIFA Disciplinary Committee decisions are announced today to the parties involved.
