The Chinese company Dongfeng offers for the local market the E1 electric car, which is actually“twin brother” of the Dacia Spring model, though it is selling at much lower prices than the Romanian automobile.

Dongfeng Motor Corporation is the second largest Chinese car manufacturer. He is known in the world for numerous partnerships with such companies as Honda, Kia, Nissan, Infiniti, but also with three French producers, Peugeot, Citroen and Renault.

In 2019, Dongfeng began working with Renault on the production of a small city car, which was then launched in Europe with a little modification.

Spring is produced in China, at the joint plant of Renault and Dongfeng, and it is offered on the local market as an E1 model. This pattern differs from only the logo and some minimal lines in front of Dacia. The side and back look is identical to Spring, as is the inside of the vehicle. Even technical features are similar: Dongfeng E1 has an electric engine of 45 KF and 125 Nm, and speed of 105 km/h (while Dacia Spring 125 km/h). Even the battery has allowed up to 271km of autonomy in motion.

Interestingly, the car is being seen on the Chinese website of electronic trade, Alibaba, for about 8700 euros, and has a record of higher amounts. If you order more than 50 pieces, the car can carry your logo.
