Orders Vuchiqi: Serbia's Army, Police Co-ordination Increases

The Serbian president, who is also commander-in-chief of Serbia's Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vuciq, has ordered that the army and all interior affairs ministry units be at the highest level of combat readiness, broadcast Serbia's Radio Television.

Serbian Defence Minister Milos Vuchevic said on the evening of December 26th that Vuciq has ordered Serbia's “Armed Forces to be at the highest level of combat readiness -- willingly ready to the level of use of armed force”.

He said that the increase at the highest level of action by the Serbian Army takes place to protect Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty and to protect all citizens of Serbia, preventing terrorism and terror against Serbs everywhere living”.

“There is no reason for panic, but there is reason for concern, because it seems that Serbia is the only party interested in negotiating, for political agreement, to meet even a thousand times until there is any” agreement.

The other “Pala is constantly making unilateral moves, raising tensions and constantly leading to further escalation of the situation, which, in my opinion, has a clear goal of full ethnic cleansing of Kosovo and Metohija”, said Vuchevic.
