So said by a communique for the media, where it has been added that Kosovo police exercise their authorisations and conduct duties legally based on the Kosovo Constitution.
Police officers in these two blocked locations are staying with very high morals, but their health and life are seriously endangered because of the difficult conditions created by circumstances and the environment in which they stand”, it is said among other things in the communiqué.
Full communication:
The Kosovo Police Union is paying attention to the current situation in Kosovo, where Kosovo police continue its goal in maintaining order and public security, establishing partnerships with citizens.
Kosovo police exercise their authorisations and conduct duties legally based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, on other laws in power and on the Ethics Code, acting impartially to protect life, property, security, control of border crossing for all indiscriminately, ethnicity or nationalism.
With the same aim, police officials are also staying in the country's two northern locations, in Leposaviq and Jarinje, where they are blocked by the barricades imposed by criminal non-legagime groups. The blockade of roads has entered every day on eight, and as a result, free movement of citizens and order bodies has been violated and police officials in Leposaviq and Jarinje have remained blocked without access to change under the rules for normal functioning.
The police union and all members of police are closely following these developments, and they are very concerned about the fate of the stranded colleagues, so we call on the Presidency, the Government, KFOR, EULEX and the CUINT embassies to co-ordinate actions and immediately create the conditions for free movement and police officials become change.
Police officials in these two blocked locations are standing with very high morals, but their health and life are seriously endangered because of the difficult conditions created by the circumstances and environment in which they stand.
We must realize that patience also has its end for those who are there for us. In this case it's all over the normal because it's about the risk of life from various diseases of police officials and citizens who live in that section, and now it's about humanitarian crisis, so it has to be immediately intervened!
