Svechla: The addition of police officers took place for law order, not for other purposes

Internal Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla has said that the increase in the number of police officers in several locations in northern Mitrovica has occurred as a result of incidents in recent days.

He said the presence of police in northern Mitrovica was done in order for order and law to return to that area and that citizens to be guaranteed safe residence in their homes,

The “Police make security assessments, and on the basis of these estimates, a decision is made to increase the number of police officers in the order, who all they do is provide security to all residents there. Enhancing presence is without purpose, in addition to increasing security for residents of these neighborhoods”, Svecla is expressed in RTK.
