Stoltenberg for “Space 24”, said NATO is carefully monitoring the situation and is very focused on the issue of Kosovo and the Western Balkans.
“NATO is very focused on the Kosovo issue as well as the Western Balkans. We have a long story, we have helped end two ethnic wars, first in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and later in Kosovo. Our forces are still present there through the NATO Forces, or KFOR, which has nearly 4,000 members and is the key factor in stabilising the region and the” situation, NATO Secretary General said.
Secretary NATO said their forces are ready and alert to the situation under way.
Our forces are ready, capable and alert. They're monitoring the situation very carefully. NATO and EU forces co-operate closely. My request for all sides is to refrain from rhetoric contributing to the escalation of conflict and to help reduce tensions”, Stoltenberg told France24.
