Mehaji has said that the budget increase for The KSF has contributed to increased capacities within the Kosovo Army.
The minister has stressed that 1,230 soldiers, double 2020 and 2019, were recruited during the total of 2022.
“As far as establishing professional capacities, soldiers attend studies at the world's most prestigious academys, both in the US, Germany, Croatia, United Kingdom, Turkey and beyond. During this year, about 2,047 military officers abroad have been trained. In addition, the establishment of operational capacities with the purchase of military equipment has been invested. During 2022 the budget invested in this year exceeds 2021 to 84%, 2020 to 99%, and 2019 to 98%. The purchases are realised through state deals with”, Mehe said.
