Shala to extend emergency energy measures: Government's Misusing the Law

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Ferat Shala has criticised Kurti Government for mismanagement with the energy sector.

According to him, the executive is not taking any concrete action, for changing the situation in this sector.

He made these comments at the Assembly session, where the Government of Kosovo's decision to extend emergency measures in energy supply for even 30 days was reviewed, adding that the Government is misusing the law.

Article 25, which is misusing the energy law, gives the possibility of a remarkable proclamation. But there are the following articles about not misusing the situation. It says that when the assembly appreciates that the minister and the government are not finding solutions, Article 4 and 25 enter into force. It says the ministry, after taking the measures, is bound to issue legal acts for the establishment of secondary legislation, but no action has been taken so far by the Government in this direction, only to state emergency and nothing else”.
