Settin Vucinqi, to attend summit in Tirana

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced, however, he will travel to summit tomorrow The EU-Western Balkans held in Tirana, stressing that it would be a major loss for the country if it does not go. Vucic, in a campaign for journalists, following military training at Nikki's range, asked if he would go [...]

Vucic, in a campaign for journalists, following military training at Nikinic's range, questioned whether he would go to Tirana, said he had spoken with his associates Milos Vucevic, Ana Brnabizic and others, as well as with his friends, presidents and prime ministers of several countries.

Vucic announced days ago that he would abandon this summit, as a sign of his protest against the response, as he said, the European Union's mild-hearted towards Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who appointed Nenad Rasic, minister for Communists and Kthim.

Kosovo has a constitutional obligation to reserve some ministerial positions for the Serb minority, but Vucic says Rasic does not represent Kosovo Serbs, since he does not have popular support with the vote.

Asked why he changed his decision, he responded indirectly, adding that “for ten and a half years I have tried every day not to express anything or the less personal, to take care of everything, and then sometimes my emotions invade me when I don't know how to react and what to do”, the president explained.

Why is Vucic holding back response “soft” The EU?

The EU was a soft “” at all with Kosovo.

Peter Stano, the EU spokesman, has been asked about Vucic's comments on the situation, but also about a broader opinion of the union about Rashic's appointment.

Stano said that our “all appointments are vital to be made in co-ordination with the Constitution of Kosovo” and that our “primary reading of the appointment tells us that this appointment did not meet the requirements of the Constitution”.

The final decision, however, Stano claimed I would give “to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo”, but that “bringing in relation to the Constitution is key and we expect Kosovo to be within this” behavior.

He has reiterated that <x0cysituata on the ground is fragile” and that “any act that still raises tensions must be avoided”.

“Allow me to repeat that the EU call is to work immediately on the road to implementing the agreement in the” dialogue.
