Following the situation created in northern Kosovo, Defence Minister Armend Mehaj will report before the Security and Defence Affairs Commission today
The report, which is expected to begin by 10:00, will focus security and defence issues.
We remember that Kosovo's north is in a tense situation because of barricades that have put Serb criminal groups on several roads.
Barricades have been set up on December 10th in this part of Kosovo, as a sign of dissatisfaction with the arrest of former Serbian Kosovo Police Official Dejan Pantic.
Pantic allegedly organised “terrorist attack” at the offices of the Central Election Commission in northern Kosovo earlier this month.
The Kosovo government and the international factor have repeatedly called for the removal of barricades.
Finally, Serbian authorities have applied to KFOR for the commitment of up to 1,000 Serb security members in Kosovo, calling at UN Resolution 1244.
