Some media in Serbia, including state television RTS, gave the news of this appointment, which said the decision was taken by Serbia's government.
The Balkan Service of Radio Free Europe sent questions to Serbia's Government about the appointment of Vulin, but received no answers.
Before Vulin, Bratislav Gashiq, now Serbia's minister of Internal Affairs, was in the post.
BIA is a national security civil service of the Republic of Serbia.
It is responsible for protecting the security of this country and, among other things, for uncovering and preventing activities that, reportedly, aim at violating or undermining the established order with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
