The attacks on Ukrainian cities were frequented this week as Russia targets the country's civilian infrastructure, the BBC reports, adds Periscopi.
Electricity stopped at Kharkiv, and three explosions were reported in Kiev.
Officials warned of possible damage after a residential building was hit in Kyvinh Rich.
Other cities were also hit as the alarm was heard across Ukraine. Vitaly Kim, chairman of the southern town of Mykolaiv, said at least 60 rockets are believed to have been launched.
Electricity also stopped in the Sumy region near the northern Ukrainian border with Russia, as well as in the central cities of Poltawa and Kremenchuk.
Millions of Ukrainians have lost power as winter approaches in Ukraine. The United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk warned on Thursday that the other attacks on the traphos can “cause even more serious reductions in the humanitarian situation and spur even more changes”.
Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said three areas of town were hit. The damage to energy infrastructure also affected water supplies and subway lines in the city at the moment are not working, he announced.
Regional administration head Olexiya Kuleba said Russia was “, massively attacking Ukraine”.
It is unclear why Russia stepped up its attacks this week, however, reports that US President Joe Biden is finalising the plan to send the Patriot missile defence system to Ukraine following Kiev's several-month request. /Periscopi/
