Russia intensifys Donnetsk attacks

Russian troops have intensified their attacks in Bahmut and Avdivka, in the Ukrainian region of Donjeck, the Ukrainian Army General Staff said on 15 December. Moscow is also continuing to launch attacks on the entire front line to the east, following the fearful attacks on Kiev and a deadly bombing at Herson. [...]
The General Staff said the Russians are trying to stabilise their tactical positions around Cupjansk in the east of the Harkov region and southeast of Zaporija.
“The enemy has carried out 31 air strikes and 8 missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in the Donjeck region, and has also fired 61 missiles from missile systems”, the General Staff said.
The Ukrainian Army added that the risk of Russian air strikes on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure continues to be high throughout the country.
On December 14th, Russia damaged two administrative buildings in Kiev following fears. But Ukrainian air defense systems largely managed to break down the fears. Russia has also carried out bombings in the recently freed city of Herson, killing two people.
Moscow has also continued the pressure along the front line and has continued to attack civilian areas, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
He added that Russia's ability to perform large “offensions could be restored” in late January or February.
