The prestigious media Reuters has published an article about the current situation in northern Kosovo.
Reuters, through this writing, cited the previous incident between the police and Serb criminal groups, who exchanged fire among themselves after blocking several roads in northern municipalities.
Kosovo's “Serbs and the country's police exchanged firearms Saturday after an explosion of tensions in the country's unstable northern part. Earlier in the day, Serbs from northern Kosovo blocked the main roads in the north to protest the arrest of a former Kosovo police member who left his post last month along with other ethnic Serbs. Police units, in self-defence, were forced to respond with firearms to criminals who were pushed and ran in unknown directions, reportedly in Reuters's article.
The article also speaks of the country's president's decision to postpone elections on April 23rd 2023 in North Mitorvica, Leposaviq, Zvecan and Zubin Potok, which was originally held on December 18th.

“Serbian leaders in northern Kosovo municipalities, together with local judges and about 600 police officers, resigned last month in protest of a government decision to replace the license plates issued by Belgrade with those of Pristina”, it is said further.
Also mentioned is Serbian President Alexadar Vuciq's statement, which urged NATO's peacekeeping mission, KFOR, to allow Serbia to deploy troops and police in Kosovo, although he acknowledged there was no chance of giving permission.
